17-year-old Homicide Suspect arrested in California

Police have arrested a 17-year-old suspect overnight in Torrance, California, who is reportedly involved in a homicide in a quite Denver neighborhood.

D’Marco Jaquise Blake  is the main suspect in shooting and killing of 27-year-old Timothy Anderson at a home in the 3900 block of South Spruce Street on May 15.

Earlier, in connection to the murder, 20-year-old Demond Hamilton and 18-year-old Keione Clark were also arrested.

The Denver police said in a press conference that all the three suspects are facing charges for first degree murder and first-degree assault.

Earlier this month, another teen suspect turned herself in. She is being held for investigation of accessory after the fact.

Police sad that Blake will be charged as an adult, but it is unclear how the 15-year-old teen will be charged.

Police believe the four suspects arrested were part of a burglary ring.

The suspects could also have connections to the other crimes that occurred in the same area that night.

Denver Police Major Crimes Unit Commander,  Barb Archer said: “It’s very frightening; it’s very scary."

"We are glad to have this group of dangerous people in custody now to stop this crime spree," she added.

Neighbors in the Southmoor neighborhood near East Hampden Avenue and South Tamarac Drive were saddened by the murder.

They say Anderson lived with his mother, and they largely kept to themselves.

Police officers are working to determine the motive behind the murder, and if the murder was targeted or was a random act of violence.

The public was cautioned about Blake, who Denver Police said was armed and dangerous.

According to the reports, Blake also faces charges in California and it is not sure when he will be returned to Denver.
