Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his address to over 50,000 Indian Americans at ‘Howdy Modi!’ event, urged Indian diaspora to help boost tourism in India by bringing at least non-Indian families to India.

At the mega diaspora event, organized by Texas India Foundation, Modi said:

Can you do a small work for me, can I depend on you. I am asking Indians to make a promise to bring at least five non-Indian families to India.

On this statement, PM Modi received huge acclamation from the massive audience. Praising the Indian American community, the PM said they have set the foundation for a bright future for India-United States ties.

The Prime Minister unveiled the plaque of the pioneering ceremony for the Eternal Gandhi Museum, the inauguration of the Gujarati Samaj of Houston Event Centre and for a Siddhi Vinayak temple.

The Eternal Gandhi museum will be a prized cultural landmark in Houston. I have been associated with this effort for a while. It will surely make Gandhi Ji’s thoughts popular among the youth.

Houston’s NRG Stadium, where the mega diaspora event took place, was jam-packed with PM Modi’s Supporters holding Indian flags and chanting ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai.’
