The metro area in Denver was once home to many indoor malls. In which many of them struggled to stay afloat amid an increasingly competitive market, but closed.
Some of the malls were resurrected into outdoor shopping centers, a recent trend in the retail world.

Cinderella City
The Cinderella City mall was opened in 1968; it is located in Englewood at West Hampden Avenue South Santa Fe Drive.
The mall was closed in 1997. And the remaining part of the mall, which is still standing is the Englewood Civic.
Villa Italia
This Villa Italia mall was opened in 1966 and got closed in 2001. The area is now the Belmar Shopping Center.
Southglenn Mall
It was opened in 1974 and got closed in 2005. The mall was located at East Arapahoe Road and South University Boulevard. It is now an outdoor shopping center called the Streets at SouthGlenn.
Westminster Mall
The mall was opened in 1977 and closed in 2011. It was located at West 92nd Avenue and U.S. 36 in Westminster.
Buckingham Square
The Buckingham Square mall was opened in 1965 in Aurora. And closed in 2007. The mall was located off Havana and Mississippi. It is now home to an outdoor shopping center.
Northglenn Mall
The Northglenn Mall opened in 1968 at 104th Avenue and I-25, it got closed in 1998. It is now an outdoor shopping center called Marketplace at Nothglenn.
