Delhi Amendment Bill Passed in Lok Sabha

On Thursday, Lok Sabha passed the amendment bill of the controversial Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi amendment bill (2023). This bill will give all powers to the central government regarding the transfers and postings of the officers in the Delhi government.

Union Minister Amit Shah passed the voice of votes, while opposition parties walked out, Delhi CM Kejriwal called BJP the backstabbers for the National capital. In Lok Sabha, AAP MP Sushil Kumar Rinku created a ruckus at the time of the bill discussion, he came into the well tore some papers and threw them against the speaker Om Birla. He was suspended for a complete monsoon session for his unruly behaviour in Lok Sabha.

Amit Shah said that this bill is for the better ordinance of the national capital and now the central government will have all the commands in any union territory in the country including Delhi. He blamed Arvind Kejriwal for not organizing the assembly sessions and cabinet meetings regularly as per schedules. Congress and BJP have ruled Delhi for many decades, but once AAP came into power, which is no one but a local party, the ruckus started in the national parties, and finally the end for Delhi Government powers.
