Capgemini Top Deck Reshuffle Impacts Indian-origin Executives

Capgemini has through with a top-deck reshuffle that has impacted some Indian-origin executives.

Capgemini, a French multinational company is headquartered in Paris, France and serves worldwide.

Aruna Jayanthi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of business services, will be the head of the Asia Pacific and Latin America effective July. Sujit Sircar, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of North America application services, is taking over as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the India business.

Jayanthi will now be driving a $1.2 billion business, as a part of the French Information Technology (IT) company's executive committee. Apac and LatAm lend 8 percent of the company's revenues. Apac is seeing some fresh momentum, and Mexico is thriving very well.

Jayanthi was handling an $800 billion division employing over 25,000 people, in her previous role in business services. Prior to that, she was the CEO of Capgemini India for five years.

Sircar replaces Karine Nicole Marchat, who was appointed the CFO of the Indian business in May last year and is relocating to Paris in a different role. Sircar used to be CFO of Igate, which Capgemini acquired in 2015.

When a media source asked Capgemini about the alterations, the firm said, "We do not comment on our internal organization." Last year, Capgemini appointed Anirban Bose as head of the financial services business. Bose was as well elevated to the group executive board.

In 2017, Capgemini had revenue of 12.8 billion. The company provides its India financials in an April-March format. The figures for 2017-18 are not available yet. Merely Capgemini India has been thriving quicker than the company average. In 2016-17, the India revenue rose 11.4 percent to Rs 12,448 crore (about $2 billion). Rs 1,593 crore net profit has been dropped from Rs 2,130 crore. About 50 percent of the employees in the company are based in India.
