According to reports the authorities have identified the victim as Tim Cruz 32-year-old man, who was shot dead, when he was robbed at gunpoint at a Denver light rail station.
The officer pronounced the victim dead on the scene of the shooting, which happened at 1 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb 7 at the Sheridan light rail station.
The Denver police said that the victim was approached by two men wearing masks and backpacks and demanded his belongings and one of them shot and killed Cruz.
The Denver police are seeking for the two suspects and have released a photograph of the two masked men, who fatally shot Cruz at the west Denver Regional Transportation.

Cruz is the second person in 11 days to be killed near a light rail station, though police said that they don’t believe both the cases are in any way connected. The suspects in the Tuesday’s fatal shooting are considered armed and dangerous.
In the past week Scott Von Lanken, 56-year-old a security officer, who was a contract worker for RTD, was shot and killed near Union Station by 37-year-old Joshua Cummings.
According to the authorities the attack was random and unprovoked; they said that they were investigating, if Cummings targeted Von Lanken because of his uniform which resembles Denver police.
According to Tina Jaquez spokesperson for RTD, back to back tragedies have been tough for the transit agency.
Jaquez said "You know it's always tough, it's always hard,"
She said that their thoughts are always with everybody, the families and people involved. It is very difficult. She said.
