School bus driver pleaded guilty, sentence suspended

A school bus driver who pleaded guilty to aggravated statutory rape will serve no jail time in Tennessee.

Alexander Rodriquez, 34 years old, appeared in Hamilton County Criminal Court on Thursday where he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to four years of imprisonment.

According to reporters, the sentence was suspended and Rodriguez will have to undergo supervised sex offender probation for 10 years and wear a GPS ankle monitor .

A 15 years old student at Sale Creek High School was reported missing after she was last seen getting on a bus driven by Rodriguez in March 2015

The girl told school officials that Rodriguez drove the bus to a garage where the school buses had been kept overnight. The girl informed that she was then drove to a motel.

The girl told the investigators, that she girl was taken into a room at the motel where she was forced to perform oral sex on him.

The girl repeatedly told Rodriguez “no” during oral sex. While she was being raped, she said to Rodriguez that it had been hurting her, and Rodriguez replied, “I’m trying to make it hurt,”

After the hearing on Thursday, Rodriguez’s attorney told the Press that the victim had “credibility issues,” saying the victim claimed the oral sex was forced, but the evidence “didn’t really bear that out.”

attorney Johnny Houston told, “So there may have been some overall credibility issues with her,”
