In the Telugu film industry, Ravi Teja has established himself as the Mass Maharaja with his recent blockbuster hit, Krack. Following his success, he is now gearing up for his next big release, Eagle, slated for the 2024 season. However, the release date poses a challenge as three other major films are also scheduled for release during the same time: Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram, Venkatesh's Saindhav, and Nagarjuna's Naa Saami Ranga, Hanuman.

Given the highly congested release schedule, the Telugu producers collectively decided to request one of the five films to postpone its release. After discussions among the Producers' Guild and Film Chamber, Vishwa Prasad, the producer of Eagle, and Ravi Teja agreed to delay the release of their film. The new release date set for Eagle is 9th February, 2024, as officially announced by Dil Raju after the Producers' Guild meeting.

Nagarjuna's Naa Saami Ranga had initially aimed for a Sankranti release and started shooting in August to meet the deadline. The team is currently working at an accelerated pace to complete the film on time. Saindhav, which intended to release for Christmas on 22nd December, had to be postponed due to the film Salaar. Therefore, the producers of Saindhav were not willing to delay the release again. The team behind Hanuman has already made agreements for distribution throughout India, making it impossible for them to alter their release plans.

Guntur Kaaram's makers had been eyeing a Sankranti release for the past year, so they were not willing to adjust their release date either. Consequently, the producers of Ravi Teja's Eagle, People Media Factory, had to be convinced to postpone their film. In a show of solidarity, Sithara Entertainments, another production house owned by the Guntur Kaaram producers, agreed to postpone the release of their film, Tillu Square, which was initially set for 9th February.

There have been some rumors suggesting that the makers of Eagle wanted additional time to make corrections and reshoot certain crucial portions of the film. Although the film has already completed the censor formalities, these rumors indicate the filmmakers' commitment to delivering the best possible product. This decision to postpone the film not only strengthens their goodwill within the industry but also demonstrates their consideration for the audience's interest.
