Certainly cats are luckier than us. As we are struggling throughout all the ups and downs of life, working morning to evening just to pay the bills.

On the other hand, there are cats, tiny, cute, sometimes even grumpy ‘’lord’’ like behavior, commonly found in our homes.

In a Denver bound flight from Los Angeles a dozen of cats got a first class ticket- well in fact; they had their own private jet.

The Dumb Friends League received 36 cats through a transfer from several shelters around Los Angeles on February 15th.

The Friends league said that it was team an effort with support and assistance from the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) Relocate Program, and Wings of Rescue.

Joan Thielen, who is with the Dum Friends league said that Colorado was very fortunate that it was able to help those cats as they had made strides in humane education and spay and neuter efforts across the state for felines.

The transferred cats range in age groups from kittens to full grown cats and they are healthy, friendly and each of those have got a certificate of veterinary inspection before they even boarded the private plan that brought them to Denver last week.

Joan Thielen  said that after the transfer “The Dumb Friends League would continue to work with similar programs like this, as long as they have the capacity to help, the league always took at their community first.

He said that they are fortunate to have a compassionate, pet friendly community in Colorado. That allows them to help pets in need, both with patrons looking to adopt and with generous donations helping to make programs like this possible.

Once the cats get evaluated medically and behaviorally from the staff at the Dumb Friends League, those cats would go up for adoption. Interested people for adopting can go online to DDFL.org can call the shelter at 303-751-5772.
