The tech giant Google has offered whopping Rs. 1.27 crore job to a Delhi Technological University (DTU) student, Chetan Kakkar. Kakkar is an alumnus of Springdales School Pusa Road. He said that a great difference was made by the DTU campus to his future prospects and he is in full excitement to join Google.


Chetan Kakkar is studying final year at information technology department at DTU. He is expected to work with Google in California after finishing his study program next year.

After finishing studies in 2016, he will earn an annual package of Rs. 1,25,74,200 ($1,90,000).

Highest offer given to a DTU student till now, before Chetan was Rs. 93 lakh. Kakkar is the son of parents, who are teachers at Delhi University. His mother Rita Kakkar is in the faculty of chemistry department at Delhi University, while father Subhash Kakkar is a management studies teacher.

Google is not the only company that offers such high paid jobs. Even social media giant, Facebook made such lucrative job offers to Indian students earlier. In 2014, highest packages of Rs 1.42 crore each were bagged by three students from Facebsook. These offers were made by the social media giant at a premier IIT-B on the first day of the placements.
