John Walch, 35, a man who not only assaulted his girlfriend but also shot the man who was trying to help her was sentenced to spend rest of his life in prison.

He is sentenced to 192 years in jail by the Department of Corrections. In June, the jury has found him guilty of shooting and paralyzing a 50-year old man in January 2015.

This 50-year-old Good Samaritan was helping Walch’s ex-girlfriend when she was left bleeding on East Colfax Avenue in Aurora. He took her to a nearby hotel room to help her but Walch returned and fired a gun through the broken window of the hotel room and shot at man’s back paralyzing him from the chest down.

However victim said that he was wondering why he was shot, he said Walch is a very evil man and he deserves to be in jail for rest of his life and he also said that he is grateful that he is alive after all these injuries.

Walch was found guilty of multiple charges including attempted murder and also for assault.
